Heterogeneous multi-sensor tracking for an autonomous surface vehicle in a littoral environment

چکیده

Sensor fusion plays a key part in autonomous surface vehicles, however, the high cost of sensors makes barrier entry this research field quite high. In work, we present complete system for sensor on milliAmpere ferry platform as well an open dataset maritime tracking across two environments. Individual and their detection pipelines are evaluated various metrics. We also evaluate performance both individually using multi-sensor extension JIPDA multi-target tracker. find that different environments have distinct challenges precluding use only single sensor. Utilizing multiple sensors, either or fusion, can mitigate these issues increasing safety margins situational awareness system.

An Energy Scavenging Autonomous Surface Vehicle for Littoral Surveillance

A prototype energy scavenging autonomous marine surface vehicle for littoral water surveillance has been developed and experimentally tested. The basic vehicle chassis is a heavily modified Stiletto Catamaran with the center structure removed and replaced with an aluminum box beam supporting a carbon fiber stub mast. A carbon fiber rigid wing, 10.7 meters tall and with a 3 meter chord is suspen...

A Multisensor Multiobject Tracking System for an Autonomous Vehicle Driving in an Urban Environment

This paper presents the tracking system of Boss, Carnegie Mellon University’s winning entry in the DARPA Urban Challenge in 2007. We present the key challenges for implementing the tracking system, the design principles that guided its implementation, the software architecture of the tracking system and the sensor setup used by Boss. The system has been shown to work robustly in many different ...

Towards a real-time architecture to control an autonomous vehicle in multi-vehicle environment

{ This paper copes with the problem of motion execution monitoring for a car-like vehicle moving in a subset of the road network. Our nal goal is to design an architecture for planning and controlling the motion of the vehicle. This architecture must enable the vehicle to optimize its behaviour autonomously and in real-time { in other words, to avoid stationary and moving obstacles in its local...
